Editorial

This current edition of the International Journal of Advance Research and Innovation comprises of research articles, review papers and case studies on a wide range of subjects such as fire safety, higher education, green technology, machine learning, cyber security and more.

‘Forest Fire Detection Techniques: Conventional and Convolutional Neural Networks Approaches’ by Ishita Sharma and Anurag Sahu summarises all the technologies such as satellite application, wireless sensor network, convolutional neural network approach, which are under use to detect forest fire with exhaustive surveys. The paper is concluded with comparisons between the techniques. Along similar lines is the study by Chirag, Ankit Kumar, Garvit Jain, and Anubha Mandal titled ‘Fire Safety and Management Analysis in India: Review’ to examine fire safety measures and their implementation in buildings, the required measures according to modern technology.

Rosita C. Padsing in her review paper titled ‘Effectiveness of Modularized Instruction in Teaching a Literature Review Paper’ emphasizes modular instruction as more operative in teaching-learning methods against the usual teaching approaches because in this modular approach the students learn in their own stride which stimulates the students and builds curiosity in them. S. M. Mamatha in her paper titled ‘Experiential Learning in Higher Education’ aims to highlight the concept of experiential learning, its importance, advantages, and challenges. Also, pointing out the opportunities to implement experiential learning in the Indian higher education system based on a review of the available literature is ‘Impact of Play Way Method on the Academic Achievement of Senior Secondary School Students in Physics’. In this paper, B. A. Atsuwe and Abonyi Athanasius investigated the impact of the play-way method on the academic achievement of senior secondary school students in the Udenu local government area of Enugu state.

E. Indhuma’s research titled ‘An Exploration of Year Prediction Using Large Scale Data’ focuses on developing efficient algorithms and techniques for large-scale MIR tasks with Million Song Dataset (MSD).

Princy Mishra, O. P. Singh, and A. K. Katiyar in their research paper titled ‘Optimization of Power and Efficiency in a Segmented Legs STEG Using the Taguchi Method’ present the application of segmented thermoelectric modules in a solar assisted thermoelectric generator.

S. M. Faisal, M. Al-Forkan and M. Amanullah observe the in vitro shoot production efficiency of the off-season jackfruit (var. BARI jackfruit -2) plant in their study titled ‘Study of in Vitro Shoot Production of Off-season Jackfruit (Artocarpus Heterophyllus Lam)’.

Rakshitha and Prabhashankar Jayarekha’s ‘Flawless Phishing Detection Based on Logistic Regression’ evaluates various researchers’ phishing detection methods, approaches and evaluation correlation based on techniques in feature selection by using data sets from the real world.

Rajbir Saha’s study titled ‘Deriving Socio-Economic Benefits, Empowering Women and Decision Making through Involving in Self-Help Group with Special Reference to Nagarbera Revenue Block of Kamrup District of Assam’ was conducted in Nagarbera revenue block of Kamrup district. It aims to look at the role and performance of SHGs in empowering women, the socio-economic benefits and their decision-making ability in the family as well as community.

The MATLAB/Simulink model of DC motor speed control with varying load torque disturbance has been studied by Utu Ochuko Goodluck1, Ogbonna U David, and I. E. Ekengwu’s ‘Effect of PID Controller on Direct Current Motor Speed Control Performance under Varying Load Torque Disturbance’.

Akash Garg, Ritik Baliyan, Amandeep Baliyan, and Anamika Singh’s ‘Prepaid Energy Metre with Theft Detection System’ has planned and built up another computerized energy metre which is associated with the viable microcontroller, a showcase gadget and viable programming to catch, communicate and keep up the record of the power utilization information of a specific client.

Arjun Sehrawat, Vandana Khanna, and Kushal Jindal in their work titled ‘Comparative Study of CMOS Logic and Modified GDI Technique for Basic Logic Gates and Code Convertor’, design circuits like logic gates, and Binary to Gray code converters using CMOS logic and a Modified GDI technique.

Ritanshi Agarwal, Vritika Vats, Neha Mittal and Pawan Rajput in their paper titled ‘Convolutional Neural Networks based Facial Expression Recognition’ have shown that using CNN in the field of emotion detection using facial expression images is a remarkable approach as it gives stable results and can be modified by tuning the hyperparameters of the architecture.

Yash Agarwal, Vibhor Bhagat and Qasim Murtaza’s ‘Review of Green Mobility in India: The Journey and the Future Forecast’ is focused on reviewing the overall scenario of India’s position with respect to green mobility and provides insights into where we currently stand.

Avinash Kumar, Vipin Kumar Pal, Vinay Kumar Chaurasiya and Ajay Singh’s ‘Dams Gate Control Using Programmable Logic Controller and SCADA’ focused on the automation of gates of dams using the current smart technologies of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and SCADA.

BLE, Bluetooth low energy is low power wireless communication technology that is used to connect a number of devices like smartphones, smart watches, wireless speakers, fitness watches, etc. at the same instance of time. Uttpal Raj sheds light on the world of Bluetooth in the next study titled ‘Bluetooth Low Energy: A Comprehensive Wireless Technology.’

Viveksheel Rajput, Mudimallana Goud, and Narendra Mohan Suri have presented an article titled ‘Experimental and Numerical Studies of Electrolyte Concentration Effect in Electrochemical Discharge Based Micro-drilling’ focusing on the development of a finite element-based thermal model for studying the MRR of glass material concerning electrolyte concentration. The study successfully demonstrates the application of numerical aspects for analyzing the MRR in the ECDD process concerning electrolyte concentration.

We hope this issue of the International Journal of Advance Research and Innovation is illuminating and insightful for our readers and motivates potential authors to make more unique, diverse and topical contributions to the journal.
